Aeroplan Black Friday sale, upto 20x earn with eStore purchases

It’s that time of the year again, where we eagerly await the juicy deals from our favourite travel brands. Aeroplan Black Friday offers are here, and they are good – up to 20x points on eStore purchases made using Aeroplan credit cards, 50% bonus points with Air Canada flights, 5% back on flight redemptions, and more. From November 17-28, Aeroplan Members can get the most out of Black Friday offers, lets dive into the offers that demand your attention;

Unsurprisingly this is where the real returns are. Aeroplan members that use their co-branded Aeroplan credit cards for eStore purchases can earn as much as 20x points per dollar spent.

• • 10X points with over 200+ online retailers via the Aeroplan eStore from Nov. 17 through Nov. 29, 2022
    • Additional 10X points per $1 spent when members register and pay using co-branded credit card between Nov 24-29, 2022. Effectively the earn rate this week would be 20X per $1 spent via Aeroplan eStore!

Lets consider an example;

From Nov 24-29: As an Aeroplan Elite member, if I spend $1000 on Dyson products, using my Aeroplan credit card, I would earn a 20,000 Aeroplan points (10x On Dyson, additional 10x for using Aeroplan credit card). An impressive rate of 20 points/$. This earn ratio would be true for all retailers where the base earn is 10x.

From Nov 17-23: The same $1000 purchase from Dyson would only yield 10,000 Aeroplan points.

Flights:

With flight offers, members have a choice of the following – must choose one and register. Book by Nov. 27, 2022, for travel between Nov. 17, 2022 until July 30 2023, with no blackout dates;

• • 50% bonus points on Economy fares (when booking a flight or vacation package)

  • 100% bonus points on Premium Economy and Business Class fares (when booking a flight or vacation package)

  • 5% or a minimum of 1,000 and up to 25,000 points back on eligible flight redemptions.

Vacation Packages:

• • Book by November 24 for up to 40% off vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, & more.

Air Canada Gift Cards:

• • Until November 28, 2022;
    • 1 pt/$1 when you buy up to $750
    • 3 pt/$1 on purchases over $750

Points Purchase Promotion:

Until Nov. 28, 2022, you could get up to 110% bonus points or more when you buy or gift Aeroplan points.

• 5,000 – 40,000 points, get 60% bonus
• 45,000 – 80,000 points, get 80% bonus
• 90,000+ points, get 110% bonus

A minimum purchase of 90,000 points yields a total of 189,000 points (110% bonus) at 1.66 CPP, a good value to purchase Aeroplan points. Reminder to use a card that has the best return on everyday spend, since the purchase of points is processed by points dot com, and will not code as travel.

Take Away

While not spectacular, these offers can be of good value with specific purchases in mind. Especially on eStore purchases, the ability to earn unto 20 points per dollar is fantastic. There are lots of variable dates with each offer, so I would caution members, take close notice of when to make the purchases to maximize the returns. Personally, I am eyeing some Apple and Dyson products through the eStore, and the 110% bonus with the points purchase. Last but not least, do not forget to register for the offer!
