Personal Reflections
Definitely one of the strongest Air Miles earning credit card in the market, a welcome bonus of 2,000 AIR MILES along with an earning rate of 1 mile per $5, brings fantastic value to cardmembers. I value Air Miles at 15 cents a piece, which makes the welcome bonus alone worth $350 in value. Best way to visualize what you can do with 3,000 AIR MILES, use the Where can I fly tool ;
3000 miles are good to redeem a Select Flight within Canada
Assuming an annual spend of $30,000 on eligible food & drinks (eligible restaurants, coffee shops and stand-alone grocery stores), and eligible gas & transit, Cardmembers can potentially earn an additional 6,000 Air Miles (1 mile per $5 spend). Which translates to $900 in value (at 15 cents per mile). American Express Air Miles Platinum Card can potentially earn $1350 worth of benefits, for new cardmembers. No other card comes close to delivering this value with AIR MILES!
