Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is a marketing brand that works with independent boutique hotels around the world. SLH specializes in properties that offer a unique luxury experience while keeping the benefits consistent for its members. Read here for more details on SLH and their recent promotions. On a recent trip to Hong Kong, I had a chance to experience a SLH property – here is my Lanson Place Hotel review.
Booking and Getting there
I booked the hotel directly though the SLH website for HKD 1,766 ($225 USD) and was entitled to free breakfast, wifi, room upgrade, late check-out as an ‘Inspired member’ of the SLH loyalty program, Invited.
I landed in HKG after a ~16 hour flight from YYZ on Cathay Pacific Business Class 777-300ER (review) and took the Airport Express to Central station (~USD 15 one way). Lanson Place Hotel is located on Hong Kong Island, in the Causeway Bay neighbourhood, a short taxi ride from the Central train station.
Lanson Place Hotel Review
The check-in process was pretty straight forward, we were assigned room 2302. Here is the look at the hotel and room 2302;

Take Away
Lanson Place Hotel is a boutique property located in the heart of all things Hong Kong – street food, bars, restaurants, malls and scores of tourist sites within walking distance. My favourite hotel amenity was the mobile phone with free data and domestic/international calling. I loved my stay and another chance to explore the SLH portfolio. Pretty solid experience overall.
