Hilton has rolled out Hilton AI Planner on March 10, 2026, positioned as a digital concierge. The goal is conversational intelligence, delivering real-time responses to help you plan your next trip with Hilton.
It has rolled out to all users on the site, but only appears on the Hilton locations page. I had to use Safari to get it to show, with no luck on Chrome. As an aside, it took a few tries to use the tool as it would consistently use 14GB of memory per my Mac’s activity monitor and cause my laptop to freeze.

Creating a Trip from Zero with Hilton AI
As a first test, I thought I’d start with a rough timeframe of when I want to travel and chat with Hilton AI from there.

Tokyo is an interesting suggestion for February, but perhaps Japan really is the hottest destination these days.
I eventually said I want a beach vacation, narrowed it down to a few Caribbean islands, and decided on St. Lucia. Since St. Lucia only has one Hilton property—the Harbor Club St. Lucia, Curio Collection by Hilton—I expected Hilton AI to suggest it right away, with a short blurb explaining why it fits the destination. Instead, the AI asked a series of qualifying questions:
- Are you looking for a lively resort atmosphere with activities and nightlife, or a more secluded and tranquil escape?
- What draws you most to St. Lucia – are you interested in exploring the natural beauty and activities like hiking or snorkeling, or are you looking more for a romantic beachfront retreat?
- Beyond hiking and snorkeling, are there any other activities or experiences you’d like during your trip – perhaps exploring local culture, trying water sports, or visiting the volcanic mud baths?
- How many days are you planning to spend in St. Lucia, and will you be traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group?
There is some level of sophistication in the questions the AI tool poses, but I believe it’s not quite intelligent enough to realize when it has enough information to recommend a property.
Notably, the AI can search live but can’t actually “click into it” to show all the rates and complete the booking.

Hilton AI Meets Expectation
For all the things you might expect, Hilton AI is pretty good. It can recommend specific properties based on your requirements.

It can talk about activities and itinerary planning. I did have to say that I’m not looking for a hotel, just itinerary planning.

It also did surprisingly well with more sophisticated questions. I asked, “Which Hilton hotels are within a short drive of Western U.S. national parks covered by the America the Beautiful Pass, with parking included and good hiking access?” and it returned:

Digging deeper and asking how far each property is from Zion, Hilton AI is able to reply:

Not too shabby, indeed. Although trip planning can be done with numerous other AI platforms, so it’s not unique to Hilton and Hilton AI hasn’t proven itself to be better at it.
Searching for Points Availability
Unfortunately, this feature is not available at all.

To be fair, it doesn’t work for cash rates either.

Takeaway
Hilton AI Planner shows promise, offering useful hotel and itinerary recommendations. It can run searches based on your query to show pricing on Hilton’s website. However, without the ability to complete bookings or handle points availability, it remains a supplementary planning tool rather than a true digital concierge.
As an initial rollout, the AI planning tool is still in its early stages, with clear potential for further development. I expect it to both improve and add new features over time.
