Starting October 1, 2025, Air Inuit (3H) passengers will be able to earn Aeroplan points when booking flights with the airline, across Nunavik and beyond, who rely on air transport for essential connections. Air Inuit was founded in 1978 by the Inuit of Nunavik and connects Nunavik’s 14 coastal villages with the south. Today, the airline operates a fleet of 36 aircraft, primarily comprising Boeing 737 and Dash 8 aircraft. Air Inuit’s current route network connects several northern communities to Montreal (YUL) and Quebec City (YQB).

Aeroplan and Air Inuit Partnership
Through this partnership, Aeroplan members will be able to accumulate points on Air Inuit flights starting Oct 1, 2025, and redeem Aeroplan points for travel on Air Inuit, beginning in 2026. Existing regional partners in Aeroplan, such as Canadian North, Calm Air, and Provincial Airlines Ltd (PAL), are part of the Select Partners group, which features a dynamic award scale based on distance travelled, with no upper limit. Air Inuit will likely join that dynamic award chart as well. Most Air Inuit routes are under 1500 miles and would fall in Zone 2 of the North American award chart, where economy class redemptions start at 10,000 Aeroplan points. The new partnership will extend Aeroplan’s reach into northern routes, complementing existing options with Air Canada, the Star Alliance network, and Aeroplan’s many other airline partners.

Takeaway
