Buy Alaska Atmos Points with up to 120% bonus, 1.71 CPP (Lowest Ever)

Atmos Rewards’ current promotion to buy Atmos points with up to 120% bonus is the best offer I’ve seen in years.

This is significantly higher than the usual bonus of up to 100%, but note that it is targeted. On the 120% bonus offer, the tiered bonus ranges from 100% to 120%. A minimum purchase of 35,000 points will trigger a 120% bonus, set at 1.71 Cents Per Point (CPP). The current promotion runs until October 19, 2026.

Each account has been targeted with a different bonus. The minimum purchase requirement can also differ by account, and the tiers below reflect the offers I received. For what it’s worth, only one of the accounts I manage received the 120% bonus. The prices below include the 7.5% tax recovery fee.

This promotion can be maxed by purchasing 100,000 (220,000 with a bonus) points for ~ USD 3,762.50 at 1.71 CPP. Even if you start with a zero balance, this promotion lets you fly from North America to Asia in business class (75,000 points, on Starlux, for example) for $1,283! Or fly Porter between Canadian cities for as little as 4,500 points.

Is Buying Atmos Rewards Points Worth It?

My favourite use of Atmos Rewards is booking Porter Reserve between Toronto (or Ottawa) and Miami (or Fort Lauderdale) for just 10,000 points, equivalent to $171 USD at today’s Atmos Rewards purchase rate.

$3,762.50 is a significant amount, and not everyone will be willing to spend that much for 220,000 points, but you get the same bonus purchasing as few as 35,000.

Also, this is the cheapest rate I have seen, considering Atmos Rewards raised the base purchase price for points, and I would deem this a good time to purchase Atmos Rewards points.

As recently as a few months ago, Philippine Airlines is bookable with Atmos Rewards points. One-way flights in business class start at 75,000 points one-way.

At the moment, award availability is wide open! Philippine Airlines flies its newest Airbus A350-1000 aircraft to both Toronto and New York-JFK, with both costing 85,000 points one-way due to the longer distance.

Atmos Rewards continue to be one of the most valuable airline currencies in the market and come with great airline partners and routing sweet spots (including a stopover on one-way awards). Here are a couple of examples;

• Condor business class from North America to Europe, one-way for 55,000 points
• Starlux business class from North America to Asia, one-way for 75,000 points one-way in business class
• Fiji Airways and Qantas business class from North America to Australia, one-way for 85,000
• Porter Airlines short-haul in North America between 4,500 and 7,500 points one-way in economy (depending on flight distance)

Which Credit Card to Use?

Points.com processes Atmos Rewards points purchases, so they won’t code as travel. It’s best to use a card that offers the highest return on everyday purchases. Purchases with Canadian cards will be subject to sales tax and may further erode the value. However, purchases with U.S.-based cards with a U.S. billing address are not subject to sales tax, which makes them the best option for all Points.com purchases.
