After more than a year of anticipation and a successful rollout from Munich, Lufthansa’s flagship cabin experience, Allegris, has officially arrived in Frankfurt (FRA). Starting today, the airline will operate its first Allegris-equipped flight from Frankfurt to Toronto. FRA hub will bring the product to five new long-haul destinations, including Toronto (YYZ), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Bogotá (BOG), Hyderabad (HYD), and, beginning in December, Austin (AUS). New Allegris long-haul destinations from Frankfurt will be served by brand-new Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Lufthansa Allegris Routes – Frankfurt on the Boeing 787-9
Lufthansa’s first Allegris-equipped aircraft entered service from Munich (MUC) in May 2024, operating on the Airbus A350-900. The inaugural route, Munich–Vancouver, was followed shortly by service to Toronto. Over subsequent months, Lufthansa added additional Allegris routes from Munich to key North American and Asian destinations, including Chicago, San Francisco, Newark, Miami, Shanghai, Tokyo, Cape Town, and Bengaluru.
With the October 2025 expansion, Frankfurt passengers are now able to experience Allegris for the first time aboard Lufthansa’s newest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The first Allegris flight from Frankfurt took off to Toronto (YYZ) on October 9, with additional routes to Rio (GIG), Bogotá (BOG), Hyderabad (HYD), and Austin (AUS) joining the schedule throughout the winter season.
Lufthansa has also indicated that with additional Dreamliner deliveries in the coming weeks, more Allegris destinations will be announced from Frankfurt. As the aircraft fleet grows, so too will the number of long-haul markets able to experience the airline’s latest cabin generation.
Allegris: Cabin Design and Configuration
On the Airbus A350-900, the standard Allegris configuration includes 4 First Class suites, 38 Business seats, 24 Premium Economy, and 201 Economy seats. The Boeing 787-9 fleet now entering service from Frankfurt mirrors this configuration closely.

Lufthansa Allegris Business Double Suite
The Allegris Business Class on the A350-900 and 787-9 are arranged in a staggered layout that blends 1-2-1 configurations and offers seven distinct seat types, with options for space, privacy, or proximity to the aisle. At the front of the cabin are the Business Suites, semi-enclosed pods with sliding doors that provide a heightened sense of privacy. Window-side “single suites” offer extra personal space, while the central “double suites” feature adjustable partitions, ideal for couples travelling together. Additional seat types include Extra Space seats, Privacy seats, and Extra-Long Bed seats. Confused yet?!

Allegris First Class Suite Plus
On select A350-900 and eventually on new 787-9 Dreamliners, Allegris First Class cabin consists of just three suites in a 1-2-1 layout, each offering floor-to-ceiling privacy and a fully enclosed environment. Two Single Suites sit by the windows, while the Suite Plus, a double suite, is designed for two passengers who wish to dine or rest together.

New Allegris Premium Economy
Even beyond the premium cabins, the new Allegris Premium Economy features wider seats with individual armrests, leg rests, and integrated personal storage.
Booking Allegris routes on points
My preferred program to book Lufthansa flights is Aeroplan. As things stand, Lufthansa award booking on Aeroplan does not follow the dynamic chart for the preferred partners. Lufthansa’s last-minute availability on Aeroplan is consistent and offers a predictable pricing for the most part. Note that LH is only available at the last minute on Aeroplan is a myth. I have seen and booked several business class flights on LH, 3-6 months in advance as well. They are just not as consistent as the last-minute availability is. Here is an example of Allegris Business Class award availability from March 2026 🙂

MUC-EWR on A350-900
I won’t be surprised if LH eventually joins United, Emirates and others as a preferred partner and becomes dynamic. Something about making hay…comes to mind.
Lufthansa plans to expand Allegris across both Munich- and Frankfurt-based aircraft as deliveries continue through 2026. Retrofitting of select Boeing 747-8s and additional 787s will follow. More than 120 long-haul aircraft will eventually feature Allegris (confirms Lufthansa). For now, passengers can experience the Allegris product from both MUC and FRA on the brand new A350-900 and 787-9 aircraft.
