Cathay Pacific has announced the return of its non-stop passenger service between Hong Kong (HKG) and Seattle (SEA), beginning 30 March 2026. The addition of SEA makes it the ninth destination in North America. The new flights will operate five times weekly, using the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Cathay Pacific North America Routes
The return of Seattle comes on the heels of the new direct flights between HKG and Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) launched earlier in the year. DFW flights, currently operating four times a week, will increase to a daily service starting 26 October 2025.
With the inclusion of Seattle, Cathay Pacific’s 2026 summer schedule will feature more than 110 weekly return flights across North America, connect Hong Kong to Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth(DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO, Seattle (SEA, Toronto (YYZ), and Vancouver (YVR).

The Hong Kong–Seattle service will be operated with the Airbus A350-900, which offers a three-cabin class configuration with menus curated in partnership with Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurants.

To mark the announcement of SEA flights, Cathay Pacific is offering special Economy Class round-trip fares starting from ~$650. The promotion runs from 22 September to 31 October 2025, and applies to travel between 30 March and 30 June 2026.
Those looking to redeem Cathay Pacific Asia Miles towards this booking can expect to pay between 88,000 and 115,000 for a one-way trip from HKG to SEA in Business Class.

Takeaway
It’s great to see a new Cathay Pacific route to SEA and an expanded service to DFW. However, members interested in flying the flagship Aria business class cabin will have to continue patronizing select YVR routes, as it remains the only North American destination to be served with the Aria suites. The airline’s first dedicated lounge in New York, spanning nearly 10,000 square feet, will open in 2026 when Cathay Pacific relocates to the new Terminal 6 at JFK.
