Alaska mystery bonus is back, with up to 50% bonus! Alaska has targeted several Mileage Plan accounts with a 50% bonus, including ones without any history of purchase! Both accounts I manage, have the 50% bonus offer, which is perfect timing since I was planning Cathay business class redemption to Australia and India – needed a top-up. This is the highest bonus I have seen with Alaska MileagePlan and is available until October 5th, 2017.
Alaska Mystery Bonus
As usual, it is a tiered offer and the 50% bonus kicks in when buying a minimum of 40K miles (60K with bonus) at $1,182 USD, or maximizing the value by buying 60K (90K with bonus) for $1773 USD. A value of 1.97 cpm – wow!
$1773 USD is a lot of money and not everyone will be keen on shelling that amount to earn the 90K, however, its a great offer to top up accounts.
Alaska miles are one of the most valuable airlines currency in the market and come with great airline partners and routing sweet spots – couple of examples;
- Cathay Pacific from North America to Asia, oneway for 30K/35K/50K/70K across all cabins
- KLM from North America to Middle East, oneway for 40K/70K across Econ and Business.
Take Away
I hope your account was targeted with a 50% offer. Hands down the best bonus deal I have seen, Alaska mystery bonus is available until October 5th, 2017. Golden rule is to not purchase points unless you plan to use it within a calendar year.
