The Waldorf Astoria brand is set to debut in Japan and Costa Rica, while the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York will return in 2025. Hilton has shared a flurry of updates, including the new Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels opening in 2025. At Points Miles and Bling, we’ve consistently highlighted the value of Hilton Points for luxury redemptions, and this new set of properties will appeal to those interested in using Hilton Honors Points for high-end stays.
Waldorf Astoria Osaka, Japan
The hotel is on track to open in the Q2 of 2025. Given Osaka’s rise in popularity as a travel destination, this addition will make a fitting new choice for luxury travellers. Occupying 12 floors within a 39-story high-rise, Waldorf Astoria Osaka will be part of the Grand Green Osaka mixed-use development, a major new urban project in the city’s south district. It will be Hilton’s second luxury property in the town, joining Conrad Osaka. I expect the redemption rate to range around 100,000-110,000 points per night, slightly higher than Conrad Osaka’s rates (95,000), reflecting its elevated status within the Hilton portfolio.
Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique
The hotel is located on Costa Rica’s Cacique peninsula, which overlooks the stunning Playa Penca. The property will officially accept guests in March 2025 and offer six dining venues and multi-level pools. With its cliffside location and expansive ocean views, the standard redemption rate is set at 120,000 points per night, and the cash rate sits at around $1,500 per night, which indicates significant redemption value for those looking to utilize Hilton Honors Points.
Waldorf Astoria, New York
After extensive restoration, the iconic New York City property will return to the luxury scene in spring 2025. Though it’s not yet open for bookings, the renovated property will offer the legendary experience of Waldorf Astoria with a modern, multi-purpose layout and Waldorf Astoria Residences. Early images look stunning and capture the quintessential New York luxury vibe, and once booking opens, it’ll likely become a top-tier points destination in the city.
Conrad Hamburg
Hilton’s luxury brand, Conrad, will debut in Germany in the summer of 2025. The property will be in the historic Levantehaus building on Mönckebergstraße, one of Europe’s notable shopping avenues. Located amidst an array of fashionable shops and cultural landmarks, Conrad Hamburg will bring Hilton’s signature luxury experience to a prime city center location, and it’s expected to draw both leisure and business travellers. Bookings for the property are not yet available.
Conrad Athens The Ilisian
By the end of 2025, Conrad Athens will open in Greece, revitalizing the former Hilton Athens as a luxurious, multi-use destination. The Ilisian will include a private members’ club and an array of dining, entertainment, and retail offerings that combine international and local influences. This mixed-use space is designed to provide guests and members with leisure, wellness, and shopping experiences for upscale travel and lifestyle in Athens.
Here is the list of other properties scheduled to open in 2025 in addition to the New Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels.
