Air Canada has announced the expansion of its multi-modal connectivity option with the introduction of a premium motorcoach service between Kingston Norman Rogers Airport (YGK) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Starting September 23, 2025, this service will operate in partnership with The Landline Company, offering two round-trip departures daily between the two cities.

The Kingston-YYZ route will be served by Canadian-built motorcoaches featuring 36 leather seats arranged in a 2-1 layout, equipped with power outlets, tray tables, and generous legroom. Onboard amenities include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, overhead storage for carry-on bags, an onboard lavatory, and full accessibility features, including a power lift for passengers with mobility aids.

Initial bookings at no additional cost

Passengers departing from Kingston will check in at Norman Rogers Airport as they would for any flight. Baggage will be tagged through to the final destination, and boarding passes for the entire journey will be issued at the initial point of check-in. After boarding the Air Canada-branded coach, passengers and their baggage will be transported directly to Toronto Pearson. Upon arrival at YYZ, passengers will proceed to the self-serve baggage drop and clear security for their onward flight.

Flight numbers for the Kingston–Toronto motorcoach legs have been designated within Air Canada’s schedule:

  • AC2514: Departs Kingston at 04:00, arrives YYZ at 06:50

  • AC2515: Departs YYZ at 08:10, arrives Kingston at 11:05

  • AC2516: Departs Kingston at 14:00, arrives YYZ at 17:30

  • AC2517: Departs YYZ at 19:10, arrives Kingston at 22:05

As with existing intermodal services to and from Hamilton and Waterloo, passengers using the landline service between Kingston and Toronto are covered under Air Canada’s standard protection policies in the event of delays. Customers on these routes are also eligible to earn Aeroplan points for both ground and air segments, with the ground segment treated similarly to a connecting flight.

To encourage adoption, many bookings, including the motorcoach segment, will initially be offered at no additional cost relative to itineraries beginning at Toronto Pearson. Additionally, a fee waiver is in place for customers who wish to add the Kingston motorcoach segment to existing bookings. This waiver will remain available until December 31, 2025, and must be processed via Air Canada’s Contact Centre.

Takeaway

With this expansion, Air Canada now provides landline service to three Ontario cities, including Kingston, Hamilton, and Waterloo. Through this partnership with landline, Air Canada continues to extend its regional connectivity without the operational complexities of short-haul flights. A strong offering for passengers who prefer the entire booking under one schedule, and protected under Air Canada’s operational policies.
