Air Canada Resumes Ottawa to London Heathrow Service in Spring 2025

Air Canada has announced the return of its non-stop international flights from Ottawa to London Heathrow, starting March 31, 2025. The seasonal service will operate four times a week. Air Canada’s Dreamliner fleet will service the route, providing three cabin options to cater to various travel needs. This service will be available until October 25, 2025, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Ottawa-London Heathrow schedule:

The renewed Ottawa-London connection will benefit both local residents and businesses. It will facilitate easier travel to Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa via Heathrow’s extensive network. The direct flight is expected to attract international visitors to the region and support local businesses, marking a significant development for Ottawa’s economy and tourism.

This resumption comes as part of Air Canada’s broader effort to enhance its schedule for the capital region. It adds to the recent expansion of services from Ottawa to other destinations within Canada and to sunspot locations during the winter season. With up to 229 weekly flights planned to and from Ottawa in 2025, Air Canada also positions Ottawa as a test location for new customer service initiatives to improve the travel experience.

Looking ahead, Air Canada anticipates the delivery of its new Airbus A321XLR fleet in late 2025. This new aircraft could potentially increase the frequency of flights on the Ottawa-London route and lead to year-round service.
