American Express Canada has brought back its popular Amex Shop Small promotion for Summer 2025. From June 20 to July 27, 2025, this promotion allows eligible cardmembers to earn up to $25 in statement credits simply by shopping at participating small businesses across Canada.
Amex Shop Small Canada – Spend $25, Get $5
Eligible American Express cardmembers can earn $5 in statement credits for each qualifying in-store purchase of $25 or more (up to 5 times) at participating small businesses. Only in-store purchases qualify, and online, in-app, or phone transactions are excluded.
The offer is limited to the first 50,000 card members who successfully register. Registration is straightforward: log into your American Express account, check the Offers section, and see if you’re eligible. After registration, the card must be used at participating small businesses. Not all American Express cards are eligible, and this offer is targeted, meaning not all cardholders will receive an invitation to register. For example, I only received this offer on my American Express Aeroplan Reserve card.
During the offer period, you can earn a maximum of $25 in statement credits per registered card. Each statement credit will appear on your registered card account within 90 days after July 27, 2025. Remember that statement credits may be reversed if the purchase is returned or cancelled. Multiple transactions at the same merchant or location will only count once towards the credits, even if you visit them on separate occasions.
