Vistara Route Map and Aeroplan Booking
Founded in 2013, Vistara is a full-service Indian airline that was created as a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. Operating from its hub in New Delhi, Vistara serves 36 destinations with a fleet of 33 Airbus A320, 1 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner™, 1 Airbus A321neo and 7 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. Vistara operates within India and to international destinations – Bangkok, Colombo, Dubai, Kathmandu, Singapore, and London. The Boeing 787-9 has been allocated to the new Delhi – London route (starting Aug 28, 2020).
Through the current Aeroplan Fixed Mileage Flight Reward chart domestic flights (one-way) within India would cost 15,000 in Economy and 30,000 in Business class. However, in the New Aeroplan Program, coming Nov 8, 2020, flights within India could be booked for as little as 7500 Aeroplan Points in Economy, and 15,000 points in Business cabin. Whereas, DEL-LHR (4191 miles) on the 787-9 in Vistara business class would price at 60,000 Aeroplan points, using the new distance and zone based charts. And the ability to add a stop-over on a one-way route for additional 5,000 points, opens up some good redemptions past Nov 8, 2020 🙂
Aeroplan Vistara Partnership – Take Away
Aeroplan continues to impress with another good strategic partnership which opens up more routes and interesting redemptions for members. For travellers to India, this should come as a great addition, especially given Air India’s sub par products/service and an uncertain future as an airline. Vistara ‘s global route expansion plans are strong and adds further excitement and potential value to this partnership. Here is a domestic business class review from friends over at No Mas Coach, to further Vistara’s growing reputation as the best airline in India!
