You know PMB as a travel publisher, a weekend podcast, and occasional in-person meet-ups across Canada. Well, PMB is also PMB Experiences, offering fun and exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the aviation world.
Upcoming: PMB Experiences Frankfurt – Tickets
This November, PMB is offering a small group AvGeek tour in Frankfurt with Lufthansa. We’ll look at Lufthansa’s flight safety and emergency evacuation training, along with an overall behind-the-scenes peek at its Frankfurt training facility.

Past PMB Experiences
In 2024, we offered a unique opportunity to check out Air Canada’s catering facilities with Gate Gourmet, hosted by Vice President of Loyalty & Product at Air Canada, Scott O’Leary. Over 100 new recipes were in development!

PMB Experience – Air Canada in Toronto
The following year, in 2025, we hosted our first overseas PMB Experience in Toulouse, France. We toured the Airbus facilities, including the A350 Final Assembly Line, got an inside look at the aviation and loyalty business, and spent hours plane-spotting over TLS.

This year, we’re headed to Frankfurt with Lufthansa, and who knows where we’ll go next?
Why PMB Experiences
Needless to say, the main reason to attend is the event itself. There aren’t many opportunities out there for us “regular folk” to check out Air Canada’s catering facilities or deploy one of Lufthansa’s emergency evacuation slides.
PMB is proud to offer these experiences, and we work hard behind the scenes to make them happen. Our goal is to create niche, learning-based travel programs built around curiosity and passion, and we’re grateful to our partners at Air Canada, Airbus, and Lufthansa for helping us bring that to life.
Beyond that, PMB is a community, and there’s no better way to get to know one another than sharing a drink in real life. Sure, we could do that at home, but where’s the fun in that? 😉 We all collect lots of Miles & Points for a reason!

PMB Meet-Ups are fun, but PMB Experiences are next level
Like our PMB Meetups, PMB Experiences are also about connecting over our shared passion for points travel and aviation — there’s an AvGeek in all of us! There’s value in mingling and sharing stories that would never make it to an online blog or even a text message.
Full disclosure, this will be my first PMB Experience, and I’m incredibly excited to meet everyone in Frankfurt. I’ve been to PMB Meetups in Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, but being overseas should kick things up a few notches. If you’ve travelled with a friend, you know how surreal it can feel to chat over a beer in Europe compared to your local pub in Ottawa.
Takeaway
PMB Experiences is about bringing our shared passion for aviation and travel beyond the screen. From Air Canada’s catering facilities in Toronto to Airbus’s assembly lines in Toulouse, we’ve been fortunate to offer behind-the-scenes access that most aviation enthusiasts wouldn’t otherwise get to experience.
Frankfurt with Lufthansa is our next adventure, and I’m particularly excited to be joining this one in person. Whether you’re coming for the aviation experience, the chance to meet fellow Miles & Points enthusiasts, or simply an excuse to spend a weekend in Europe, we’d love to have you. After all, what better way to put those hard-earned points to use than travelling halfway around the world to hang out with fellow AvGeeks?
