Join us in Toronto (well, YYZ airport) on October 3, 2026, for the latest edition of PMB Meetup!
PMB runs a series of events, including Meetups and Experiences, with Meetups being the most casual. Meetups usually run 2-3 times a year, and the PMB community gets together in Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, or Ottawa to spend an evening talking about miles & points, credit cards, and award travel.
Why PMB Meetups — Tickets
We sometimes write about PMB Meetups on the blog, but word mostly gets around through existing communities. Some are bigger than others, but you can usually expect a group of ~25-30 at Meetups. Anshul and I will both be in Toronto, so make sure to say hi!
With a group this size at an intimate venue and plenty of standing room, the value lies in the opportunity to mingle, share stories, and have conversations over a couple of drinks that would never happen online. Having been in the miles & points community for quite a number of years now, I find it difficult to convey just how valuable in-person gatherings are. One of the first events I attended was a PMB Meetup in Ottawa (while I was still in university), and while I believed I had a solid grasp of things, “you don’t know what you don’t know” is an existing phrase for a reason.

Join us in Toronto
Even with people you frequently converse with online, meeting in real life brings about a different kind of dynamic — for the better :). And some of my best friends, whom I’ve gone on really fun trips with, were those I met at various community meetups over the years.
So I think PMB blog posts are high quality, but in-person gatherings are the fastest way to accelerate your learning, since some things never get put to paper (for good reason).
In any case, I know the PMB community already knows the value of these gatherings, and I’m just preaching to the choir. We have a fantastic group of regulars, and we’re always excited to meet new people. No matter how introverted or extroverted you are, you’ll find your group here, as we’re an eclectic (in a good way) bunch.

See You in Toronto
If you have a free weekend this October, swing by Toronto Pearson International Airport to talk credit cards and award travel. This is actually one of my favourite venues for PMB events as it’s very spacious and has a dedicated space for us to run an activity. With more space, we can spread out some more, and all talk at a comfortable volume.
Over a couple of drinks, share your best (and worst) travel stories with those who really understand where you’re coming from. Anshul advertises food as “snacks and bites”, but I’ve never come away hungry at a PMB Meetup.
And coming from someone who has been attending for 7 years before joining the team, PMB Meetups are a lot of fun. You’ll undoubtedly pick up a few new miles & points tricks, but more importantly, you’ll meet like-minded individuals who share your passion. Please say hi if you see me in Toronto, and I look forward to seeing both old and new faces this October.
