Emirates Business Class Lounge – Introduction

During my last trip to Bangkok in November 2024, I enjoyed flying between Dubai and Bangkok on Emirates A380 Business Class. My flight to Bangkok departed from Dubai International Airport DXB Terminal 3, specifically from Concourse B. Emirates operates four Business Class lounges at DXB. While the Concourse B lounge is not as large as the flagship lounge in Concourse A, it remains an impressive and expansive space located on the mezzanine level of the terminal.

Emirates Business Class Lounge provides a luxurious and comfortable getaway for passengers to relax, dine, and work before their flights. When I visited the lounge late evening, it was packed to the brim. The prime seats near the food stations and key amenities were all occupied, leaving only the less desirable seats towards the edges available. Despite the crowd, the lounge still exuded an air of exclusivity and comfort, making it a great place to unwind before a long journey.

Emirates Business Class Lounge – Layout

The sheer size of the lounge is staggering, spanning a significant portion of the mezzanine level. Despite the large footprint, the space is thoughtfully designed to ensure an inviting atmosphere with easy accessibility to various amenities.

Seating is arranged around the outer ring of the lounge, allowing for a sense of openness, while the food stations and kiosks are centrally located. This design effectively segregates the quieter relaxation areas from the more social and high-traffic zones. Towards the far ends of the lounge, dedicated quiet spaces cater to those seeking rest, while lively communal seating arrangements and bar areas provide a more social experience. The division of space ensures that passengers with different preferences can find an area that suits their needs.

Emirates Business Class Lounge – Food and Drinks

One of the standout features of the Emirates Business Class Lounge is its gourmet dining selection, which offers a variety of international cuisines. The food stations resemble an upscale market hall, allowing guests to indulge in a culinary journey through diverse flavours. The dessert section deserves a special mention, offering an exquisite selection of sweets worldwide. Each dessert is so enticing that it is entirely possible to enjoy a five-course meal comprised solely of sweet treats.

For coffee lovers, Costa Coffee is conveniently located within the lounge, offering a selection of freshly brewed beverages. Additionally, an entire section near the entrance is dedicated to grab-and-go items, perfect for those in a hurry.

One of my highlights was the ice cream cart, a charming and unexpected addition to the lounge. The novelty of enjoying freshly scooped ice cream in a premium lounge setting was a delightful experience that adults and children equally appreciated.

Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge

A true highlight of the Emirates Business Class Lounge is the dedicated Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge. Here, passengers can savour four of Moët & Chandon’s most distinguished champagnes, each carefully paired with an exquisite canapé crafted by Michelin-starred chefs. The lounge’s elegant golden wave design and plush seating create a refined and intimate space.

For those looking to indulge in an unconventional yet enjoyable combination, ice cream and champagne make a surprisingly delightful pairing—an indulgence I highly recommend trying.

Emirates Business Class Lounge – Other Amenities

Beyond its impressive dining options, the lounge offers several additional amenities like shower rooms, Spa services, and quiet rooms. With my short 1.5-hour stay,  I did not have a chance to indulge in any spa services or the need to use the shower rooms.

Takeaway

Having visited this lounge multiple times over the years, I continue to be impressed by its scale and thoughtful design. Unlike traditional lounges, the Emirates Business Class Lounge in Concourse B feels more like a terminal within a terminal, exclusively catering to premium passengers. It strikes a unique balance between intimacy and organized chaos, adapting seamlessly to the fluctuating passenger volumes.

Yes, during peak hours, there may be lines at the food stations, but the quality of the offerings makes the wait worthwhile. Whether you’re savouring warm, freshly baked Zaatar bread, indulging in a rich and aromatic lamb biryani that rivals fine-dining restaurants, or capturing the perfect Instagram shot at the Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge, the experience is undoubtedly premium.

Emirates Business Class lounge at Concourse B delivers an experience that aligns with the brand’s commitment to luxury. It remains a space I always look forward to before embarking on an Emirates Business Class flight.
