United Club Chicago ORD – Location/Access
On my recent journey back to Ottawa, Canada, from Las Vegas, I had the opportunity to visit the United Club located near gate C10 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). One of the five United Club lounges at ORD, this particular lounge and one United Polaris lounge serve eligible passengers travelling through the airport out of Concourse C. The United Club near gate C10 is a newer lounge featuring elevated amenities and an enhanced food offering. This lounge is available to eligible premium cabin passengers flying on United or other Star Alliance airlines and Star Alliance Gold members.

United Club ORD C10 – Entrance
The entrance to the lounge is pretty understated, but the experience changes quickly as you enter. The United brand’s bright blue and white tones greeted me immediately, along with efficient e-gates where I scanned my boarding pass to gain access. Stepping into the lounge felt like entering a thoughtfully curated space, designed to offer passengers comfort and a co-working space.

United Club Chicago ORD – Seating and Layout
Consistent with the newer United Club lounges across the U.S., the C10 lounge offers various seating styles and configurations. Just past the e-gates, I noticed a series of individual booths to the left, ideal for those seeking privacy. To the right were wingback loungers and sofa-style seating, which offered a more relaxed atmosphere. The lounge’s ambiance was notably enhanced by the modern light fixtures, central mural, and various artworks dotted on the walls.

Lounge Seating – Booths and Loungers
A notable feature of this lounge is the United customer service desk, located inside it, assisting passengers experiencing disruptions or needing travel-related help. The lounge’s layout also offered a variety of seating setups, catering to solo travellers and groups, and creating a comfortable and flexible environment.

One of my favourite aspects of this lounge was the abundance of natural light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer fantastic tarmac views. This design choice allows guests to enjoy the bustling airport operations even from seating areas set back from the windows. Arriving just past noon, I found that the lounge’s front area was already filling up, but moving toward the back revealed more available space. The bar at the rear of the lounge featured long workstations, perfect for those looking to get some work done.

United Club Chicago ORD – Food & Drinks
Having recently been impressed by the food and drink offerings at other newer United Clubs, such as those in Newark, I was pleased to find that the ORD C10 lounge continued this trend. The selection was fresh and thoughtfully presented. Highlights included Kale and Pasta salads, Pumpernickel and Rye bread sandwiches, baked veggies, mashed potatoes, and oven-baked barbequed chicken. Each dish stood out for its quality ingredients and appealing presentation.

The L-shaped bar, located toward the back, was another standout feature. Set against the backdrop of United aircraft at the gate, it provided a stylish spot to unwind. After some time at the bar, I found a prime seating spot by the windows to enjoy my drink and the impressive aircraft views.

Takeaway
My recent experiences at United Club locations have been a mix of positive impressions and some frustrations. While the lounge amenities, seating, and food have been notably improved, crowding remains an issue. Fortunately, my visit to the United Club Chicago at ORD C10 was during a less crowded period, allowing me to fully appreciate the lounge’s ambiance, service, and culinary offerings. It’s a well-designed space ideal for spending a couple of hours between flights, particularly when the lounge is not at full capacity.
