Flights:

Perhaps unsurprisingly this is where the real returns are. Elite members that use Aeroplan credit cards for eStore purchases can earn as much as 17x points per dollar spent.

- Aeroplan Members can earn up to 10X the points on select retailers (10x on Dyson, Lenovo, and more)
- November 26-29, earn 5X the Aeroplan points when shopping Apple via the eStore.
- November 25 – 29, earn an extra 5 Aeroplan points per $1 spent when you use an Aeroplan credit card when making a purchase via the eStore.
- Aeroplan Elite Status members get an extra 2 points per dollar spent when shopping via the eStore
Based on the details above, lets consider an couple of earning scenarios;
From Nov 25-29: As an Aeroplan Elite member, if I spend $1000 on Dyson products, using my Aeroplan credit card, I would earn a 17,000 Aeroplan points (10x On Dyson, additional 5x for using Aeroplan credit card, 2x for being an elite member). An impressive rate of 17 points/$. This earn ratio would be true for all retailers where the base earn is 10x.
Similarly, from Nov 26-29: As an Aeroplan Elite member, if I spend $1000 on Apple products, using my Aeroplan credit card, I would earn a 12,000 Aeroplan points (5x On Apple, additional 5x for using Aeroplan credit card, 2x for being an elite member). That translates to a rate of 12 points/$

Take Away
While not spectacular, these offers can be of good value with specific purchases in mind. Especially on eStore purchases, the ability to earn unto 17 points per dollar, is fantastic. There are lots of variable dates with each offer, so I would caution members, take close notice of when to make the purchases to maximize the returns. Personally, I am eyeing some Apple and Dyson products through the eStore.
