Starting 2018, I lost my MVP Gold status with Alaska Airlines. Looks like Alaska Airlines is reaching out to certain members with lucrative MVP Gold fast track offers to earn back the loyalty.

My MVP Gold Fast Track Offer

My fast track offer is to fly 10,000 miles between January 18 and April 15, 2018. These are butt-in-seat miles on Alaska or Virgin America flights.

MVP Gold Fast Track

MVP Gold Fast Track requirements:

  • Only for members that receive the offer in email, directly from Alaska Airlines.
  • Fly 10,000 miles between January 18 and April 15, 2018
  • Registration required prior to first flight
  • Only butt-in-seat mileage earned on Alaska or Virgin America counts.
  • Award travel does not qualify.

Enrolling in the fast track offer was very simple, the email had an embedded one-click registration link. As with most offers, I registered.

Completing the fast track requirements would get me the following perks;

  • Higher priority for complimentary First Class and Premium Class upgrades.
  • 100% bonus on base miles earned.
  • Make flight changes anytime with no change fees on any Alaska flight.

Other Terms and Conditions of the Offer:

Fly 10,000 miles and earn 2018 MVP® Gold status.

Mileage for all segments accrued toward this promotion must be earned on eligible flights operated by Alaska Airlines (flight numbers 1-999, 2000-2999, 3450-3499), or on flights operated by Virgin America and marketed by Alaska Airlines or Virgin America (flight numbers 0001 – 1999), and credited to your Mileage Plan account by May 15, 2018. Award or free travel is not valid for this offer. Class of Service or Elite Bonuses do not count toward qualification for the promotion. Offer is subject to change and all terms and conditions of the Mileage Plan program apply.

Take Away

As a Canadian resident, in Ontario, I  find it difficult to fly Alaska or Virgin America without spending on positioning. I jumped on the Alaska bandwagon in 2015 when they offered an easy status match, it complimented my Alaska credit card super churns. But even between 2015 and 2017, I struggled to fly  Alaska metal and I don’t see myself making use of this lucrative MVP Gold fast track offer from Alaska. Unfortunately, not for me.

As I write this, Lucky has shared his 75K fast track offer as well. Nice!
