Amex Canada has rolled out the year’s highest offer for the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Cards. The Business Reserve card now offers up to 140,000 Aeroplan points, while the personal Reserve card now offers up to 130,000 Aeroplan points.
If you had to keep one premium Aeroplan credit card in your wallet, the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card would be it. The new offers are strong but come with a high spend requirement. On a balance of spending vs. benefits on the card, I would still consider the Reserve cards one of Canada’s most rewarding travel cards, and a must for frequent flyers who patronize Air Canada. Aeroplan has strict terms against repeat welcome bonuses across product types, regardless of the issuer. This means members will be granted one New Card bonus for each type of Aeroplan Credit Card.
