Porter Airlines has unveiled a significant expansion of its 2025–2026 winter schedule, enhancing access to sun destinations and introducing four new routes across Canada. This expansion increases Porter’s capacity on sun routes by up to 25% during peak winter travel periods.

New Porter Airlines Routes – YVR/YOW/YUL

Vancouver (YVR) to Phoenix (PHX) – Daily

Launching February 2, 2026, Porter will operate its first-ever transborder service from Vancouver. This new daily flight to Phoenix, Arizona, marks a milestone for the airline’s western operations. The nonstop connection between British Columbia and the American Southwest expands Porter’s footprint across North America, offering Vancouver travellers a new option to reach a popular desert destination.

Ottawa (YOW) to Phoenix (PHX) – 3x Weekly

On February 7, 2026, Porter added another route to Phoenix,  from Ottawa. The launch connects the National Capital Region with Arizona for the first time via nonstop service and is strategically aligned with Porter’s recently announced codeshare agreement with American Airlines. This enables onward connections through Phoenix to other U.S. destinations in American’s network.

Ottawa (YOW) to Miami (MIA) – 3x Weekly

Beginning January 24, 2026, Porter will also start flying nonstop from Ottawa to Miami. Similar to the Phoenix route, this new Miami connection integrates with American Airlines’ hub at MIA, providing access to destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America.

Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) to Nassau (NAS) – 3x Weekly

Starting February 5, 2026, Porter introduces its first Caribbean route from Montreal, with flights to Nassau in the Bahamas. This marks Porter’s expansion into leisure markets in the Caribbean from YUL, providing travellers from Quebec with a new winter sun destination.

Additional Capacity on Existing Sun Destination Routes

In addition to launching new routes, Porter is also increasing capacity on several of its high-demand sun routes from key Canadian gateways. These include:

  • Hamilton (YHM) – Fort Lauderdale (FLL)

  • Ottawa (YOW) – Grand Cayman (GCM)

  • Ottawa (YOW) – Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)

  • Ottawa (YOW) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR)

  • Toronto Pearson (YYZ) – Cancun (CUN)

  • Toronto Pearson (YYZ) – Fort Lauderdale (FLL)

  • Toronto Pearson (YYZ) – Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)

These increases aim to support strong customer demand and offer travellers more flexibility for their winter holiday planning.

The new routes will be operated using Porter’s state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 aircraft featuring a 2-2 seating configuration with no middle seats. This configuration is part of Porter’s elevated economy experience, which includes complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium Canadian snacks, and fast, free WiFi.

For those seeking a more comprehensive travel package, the Porter Reserve service aboard the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft features fresh, healthy meals, extra legroom, two checked bags, priority check-in and security, and the flexibility to change flights without a fee.
