I travel to India at least a couple of times a year and Cathay Pacific business class features regularly in my plans. With Alaska Mileage Plan, my trip from Mumbai to Toronto (BOM-HKG-YYZ) cost 62,500 points and $62 USD. Since I have reviewed Cathay Pacific Business class 777-300ER product in detail before, I figured it was best to do a pictorial review for this segment.
Cathay Business Class Review: Mumbai to Hong Kong (2019)
Flight: CX 660 BOM-HKG
Aircraft: Boeing 777-300ER
Duration: 4hr 55min
Seat: 17K
Priority security and immigration for First and Business Class passengers is a saving grace for what can be a very crowded terminal at certain times of the day, in Mumbai. My check-in and pre-boarding procedures were quick, thanks to the priority access. The gate area however, was extremely crowded with several passengers seated on the floor due to packed seating. Boarding for my flight was out of gate 76;
The ever consistent Cathay Pacific business delivered yet another smooth service. The BOM-HKG segment is just under 5 hours and the comfortable seat layout of the 777-300ER offered a good opportunity to catch up on sleep and disembark refreshed in Hong Kong. The brilliant Cathay crew timed the breakfast service perfectly to allow passengers maximum sleep time.

Flew CX using Alaska miles to fly SFO-HKG-SIN route and it was an excellent experience. It was an amazing deal for just 50k miles. I’ll probably fly HKG-BOM on CX next time when I travel to India. 🙂
CX F @ 70k would be the way to go (SFO-HKG), unfortunately none of the India routes offer an F cabin, but CX J is plenty awesome as is 🙂
Welcome to TU! Cheers
Still yet to fly First, but will try it out some day. For someone as tall as I am, lie flat bed is all I care about on long haul flights. 🙂 I’ve flown BOM – SIN a few times on SQ’s A380 Biz and it’s awesome.
