IHG latest sale is a 100% bonus on points purchase, an extension of the recently concluded promotion. With IHG 100% bonus, a 0.5 cents price-point is the cheapest I have seen. The offer is available for purchases made between November, 12 2018, and 11:59 PM ET November 30, 2018. Bonus promotions stack wonderfully in conjunction with IHG PointBreaks promotion.
IHG 100% BONUS
The tiered bonuses kick in with a minimum purchase of 5000 points. Purchase of 100,000 points for $1,000 USD would yield a total of 200,000 points at 0.5 CPM – incredible value!
Recently, IHG increased the purchase cap from 60K to a 100,000 points. Members may purchase a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year and receive as a gift a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year. Additionally, IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card offers fourth night free on award redemption, which enhances the points purchase value even further. Normally, points purchased appear in account within 24 hours, but can take upto 72 hours in some cases.
While purchasing points at 0.5 CPM is great by itself, leveraging the promotion with IHG PointBreaks properties is the best way forward. PointBreaks promotion allows members to book reward nights at select IHG locations for as little as 5000 points. IHG has improved this promotion, and now includes properties that can be redeemed at 5K, 10K and 15K, and also allows Points+Cash booking!!
While I don’t recommend buying points just to fatten your account balance, purchasing points to use at Pointbreaks properties or to top-up account balance towards a specific redemption, is a good way to go about it. Would you purchase points with 100% bonus this time around?
