Marriott Bonvoy has launched its latest promotion: buy Marriott points with up to a 40% bonus when you buy 40,000 points or more. Members can purchase up to 200,000 points through this promotion, which yields 280,000 points with the 40% bonus.  The latest points purchase promotion is available until September 9, 2026.

The latest promotion is tiered, and members who purchase between 2,000 and 39,000 points can expect a 30% bonus, while a purchase of 40,000 points or more can lock in the 40% bonus, which translates to 0.89 cents (US) per point. This is not the lowest price point we have seen; however, it is good for a top-up toward a specific redemption. Canadian residents will also pay an additional HST/QST amount based on the province.

With an increased annual purchase limit of 200,000, you can buy 280,000 points for $2,500;

280k Bonvoy Points for USD $2,500

I value Marriott Bonvoy points at 0.8 cents apiece, so purchasing at 0.89 CPP should be limited to specific redemptions. A couple of reminders to add value to your Bonvoy Points;

  • Outside of direct hotel bookings on points, Bonvoy points also convert to several airline miles at a 3:1 ratio and add a 5k bonus on every 60,000 points converted. Essentially, every 60k Bonvoy points yields 25k airline miles.
  • If you buy Marriott points through this promotion, note that the transaction is processed through points.com and will not be a hotel/travel transaction. It’s best to use a credit card that gives you a good return on daily spending.
  • A better way to keep your Bonvoy balance healthy is to use co-branded credit cards

  • Bonus percentage is determined by the amount of points purchased. Buy 2,000 – 39,000 points and get a 30% bonus. Buy 40,000 or more points and get a 40% bonus.
  • For this offer only, the annual purchase limit of 150,000 Points has been increased to a maximum annual purchase limit of 200,000 Points.
