TL;DR: Is the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity worth staying at?
The JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity is a luxury Marriott Bonvoy hotel in Aerocity, approximately 5–10 minutes from Delhi Airport Terminal 3. During Emily’s three-night stay, standout features included the spacious King room and bathroom, Executive Lounge access for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members, a large gym, spa and pool. Its Aerocity location makes it particularly convenient for airport layovers and business trips.

In early August, I stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity for three nights on a business trip. I booked a Guest Room, 1 King directly through Marriott Bonvoy using my corporate credit card. I’d have used my Marriott Bonvoy Amex for the 5x points if I could have, but company policy meant using the corporate card.
The total for three nights came to $892 CAD ($297 per night). As a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member, I earned 8,517 points on the stay.

I flew into Delhi on Air Canada Economy from Toronto (full review here). After a quick 10-minute drive from the airport, I arrived at the JW at 8 pm. Staff opened my car door and took my luggage before I’d even stepped out, and door staff greeted me with a warm “namaste” on the way into a lobby that was polished and grand.

At the check-in desk, I was offered a welcome beverage right away. I couldn’t tell what it was, but it was good…fruity and refreshing. The front desk staff checked me in promptly and ran through the welcome gift options: 1,000 bonus points, a fruit tray, or a cheese tray with sparkling wine or beer. I went with the cheese tray and sparkling wine. I was hungry enough to eat, but too tired to wait on in-room dining. It arrived at my room approximately 15 minutes after I checked in and included several cheeses, herb-crusted cheese truffles, Marcona almonds, crackers, dried figs, walnuts, chutney, and a chilled bottle of Noí sparkling wine with a proper flute.

JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity: Guest Room, 1 King
My room was on the fifth floor, a short walk from the elevators. The hallway had dark wood panelling with black trim, warm sconce lighting, and a patterned gold carpet. It was a more elevated finish than some other JW hallways I’ve seen.

The room featured warm neutrals throughout (beige, taupe, walnut, dark hardwood), and a frosted glass sliding panel separating the bathroom from the main room. There was a proper desk setup beside a curtained nook and a small loveseat.

The bathroom was fully clad in travertine, with a freestanding soaking tub and a separate glass-enclosed rain shower. The toilet had its own separate room behind a door. One of my favourite features was the frosted sliding glass doors between the bathroom and the bedroom. You could keep them closed for full privacy, or slide them open for a more open-concept layout. I kept mine open for most of the stay since it was just me in the room, and it made the whole space feel bigger. The vanity lighting was also notably good. Hotel bathrooms can have harsh light that makes doing a full face of makeup difficult, on top of already being thrown off without your normal setup from home, so a well-lit vanity was appreciated for my morning routine.

JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity: Location and Airport Access
The hotel is located in Aerocity, Delhi’s dedicated hospitality and business district right beside the airport, roughly 5-10 minutes from Terminal 3. It’s a planned zone built for hotels, with roughly 15 major properties clustered together and its own metro stop, about 20 minutes to central Delhi.
Aerocity has its own retail and dining too, including Worldmark and malls like DLF Promenade and Emporio. That said, it’s built around business travel, not sightseeing, so it’s pretty quiet. For a work trip like mine, the location is perfect.
It’s a secure, gated area, which makes it quite safe and convenient, especially for solo travellers. I wouldn’t normally walk around on my own elsewhere in the city, but I felt completely comfortable doing that in Aerocity.
Amenities: Pool, Spa, and Gym
The gym was awesome. It was spotless, spacious, and packed with equipment, which is such a contrast to the small, cramped gyms you typically get at Canadian Marriott properties or even gyms like GoodLife, where space is often tight. This felt like being in an actual commercial gym, just without the crowds, and honestly even more elevated than that.
The hotel also has a spa and pool. I booked a 90-minute massage at the spa (talked my way into a 10% discount) and would highly recommend it.

As a Platinum Elite member, I had Executive Lounge access, which is where I ate breakfast twice. The lounge is a large space with warm wood tones, hexagonal ceiling lighting, banquette seating, plus a lounge area with a sectional and TV.

Breakfast at the lounge was sparser than the hotel’s main buffet. It featured a smaller hot spread with sausages, bacon, Cajun potatoes, and baked beans, a cold cuts and cheese station with chicken ham, salami, and smoked salmon, a South Asian corner with housemade chutneys, and a cereal wall with nut and seed jars. A chef was also on hand to make eggs or an omelette to order. I’m not a big breakfast person, so having a no-cost option that covered what I needed was convenient.

On my last morning, instead of going to the lounge, I ordered Eggs Benedict through in-room dining. It came with sautéed vegetables, cherry tomatoes and hash brown. It was better than the lounge breakfast, as expected.

Takeaway
The JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity delivered on every front – the room and bathroom design, the gym, the spa, the breakfast options, the location, and the service all stood out. Whether you’re visiting Delhi for business or leisure, this is a hotel I’d recommend staying at.
