Aspire lounge 41  is one of two Aspire lounges in the main terminal of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). The lounge is located past security, on level 3 at gate 41 (as name suggests) for passengers departing on non-schengen flights. Aspire lounge 26 is available for passengers on Schengen flights.

Aspire Lounge 41 – Access

On a recent layover at AMS, I decided to use my Lounge Buddy (US $10 referral code xrXfQAl7ad) credit to experience this lounge for the first time.  The lounge is open to all passengers willing to purchase access or those with Priority Pass membership. No points for guessing, this lounge was extremely crowded and gate agents were restricting access to certain members between 9am-11am, due to space constraints. Standard access was restricted to 3 hours before flight departure and gate agents enforced this rule without exceptions.

Aspire Lounge 41 – Layout and Views

The lounge itself is modern, well lit and welcoming (if you are not turned away 😉 ). Past the main check-in desk, a long passage led me to the main area with several seating arrangements. After circling the lounge for a few minutes, I was able to snag a comfy chair by the large windows which offered great views of the runway.

Aspire Lounge 41 – Food and Drinks

The lounge has a basic selection of salads, soup and pastries. The bar selections were much better, with Heineken on tap among other wine and drinks.

Aspire Lounge 41 – Shower Room

Access to shower rooms was available at additional cost of €17.50 . I opted to pay for a shower before the next 8 hour leg of the journey. There is only one shower room in the lounge – neat and functional.

Take Away

Meh. Although the views from the lounge were good, I was not impressed overall. The lounge was extremely crowded and chaotic during my visit. This maybe a good lounge just to pay for shower facilities before boarding the flight.
