The Aeroplan Starbucks partnership was launched back in 2021 and has allowed members to earn Aeroplan points, and redeem by converting Aeroplan points into Starbucks Stars at set rates. Aeroplan has shared that they have reduced the minimum amount of points required to make a conversion and also reduced the number of points required for Stars.

Yay, your ‘Double Ristretto Venti Half-Soy Nonfat Decaf Organic Chocolate Brownie Iced Vanilla Double-Shot Gingerbread Frappuccino Extra Hot With Foam Whipped Cream Upside Down Double Blended, One Sweet’N Low and One Nutrasweet, and Ice‘ will now cost fewer Aeroplan points. Aeroplan points can now be redeemed for as little as 400 points for 100 stars;

Take Away

If you were hoping for better value on everyday use of your Aeroplan points, this is welcome news for Starbucks aficionados.  For accounts flush with Aeroplan points, a special treat at Starbucks is always a good use of points as well. However, if you like to stash your points for a high value redemption like a Business/First class seat on international routes, redeeming points for stars is not the best use of your valuable Aeroplan point. The Aeroplan Starbucks partnership has become more valuable, but may not be for everyone.
