Thanks to my affiliate partnership, I recently discovered Saily eSIM and have enjoyed its coverage and service while travelling to Asia. Flying in/out of Canada, I kept my primary provider (Rogers) service for local use and switched to my Saily eSIM for international. For the upcoming holiday travel season, Saily is kicking off its Black Friday and Holiday Season deal with up to 5GB of free data when activating an eSIM plan between November 21, 2024, and January 2, 2025.
Saily eSIM – Black Friday and Holiday Season deal
When you purchase and activate a plan between November 21, 2024, and January 2, 2025;
- Get 2GB free data with a 5GB plan
- Get 5GB free data with a 10GB or 20GB plan
Here is a small sample of popular country-specific plans with the current deal factored in;
- Thailand – $6.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days) - Turkey – $9.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days) - UAE – $10.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days) - India – $12.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days) - France – $11.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days) - Germany – $12.99 for
5GB7GB (30 days)
Saily eSIM is developed by Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. While there are many eSIM providers, I liked Saily’s user-friendly app and the easy setup. Monitoring and managing my usage directly on the app was also super easy. Here is a snapshot of my dashboard showing my data usage as I hopped between Dubai and Bangkok earlier this month;
To get the best data experience, I recommend buying country-specific plans. Get the Saily app, install your eSIM (the app will walk you through the steps), and you’re all set. I also recommend activating your eSIM data plan before hopping on the flight so you have data as soon as you land.
Whether you’re planning a short trip or an extended stay, Saily’s flexible data plans start at $1.99 for 1GB and offer a good opportunity to try their eSIM service. The holiday season deal to get up to 5GB of free data is just the icing on the cake.
Happy travels!

Saily was priced right, BUT its auto-configuration in my phone was BAD. I repeatedly had to manually type in Access Point details. I did NOT have this problem on a prevfious trip using Saily’s competitor Airalo. YMMV but I’ve a firm opinion that Airalo works better and even if priced higher, I value the convenience. I’m not afraid of techy details, but they’re a nuisance and could be daunting for the tech-challenged traveller.
If you are really interested in better deals, then here is the list:
Eskimo will sell you 1 GB for virtually any country around the world for $4, cheaper per GB is you buy a bigger package – but it is valid for 2 YEARS, so that’s better than 7 days. When you sign up as a first time user you get an extra 500 mb plus 1 gb of global data valid for 2 years for free using codes.
Yolo Global – will sell you 7 day 1 GB packages for many countries for between $0.89 – $2, they also have 0.5gb packages for 1 day for $0.39.
Roamless is pay as you go – money never expires, and European rates start at $2.45 per GB, Thailand $2.95 – again no expiration. They also have lots of coupon codes which will give you like $6 to start.
Mobimatter consolidates a lot of packages for different amounts of data and duration of usage – very good prices.
Super – thanks for sharing the details. The no expiration plans are clutch!
are you getting a commission for this? must be disclosed clearly rather than having a general statement in every post. In any case, I never saw your blog before, just clicked through the standard BA page but if you do your blog like this, suggesting something not competitive as competitive because you earn an extra commission, I don’t think you can have a large readership
Did you choose to not read the disclaimer right up top? Thanks for stumbling upon the blog. Why do you think Saily is not competitive?
That is not a good deal, and most likely a paid promotion. Google esim plans to find much much better deals – like less then $1 per GB
Are you talking about Google Fi? Great, but not available outside US. Restrictive.
