Air Canada is rolling out a new collection of bedding and in-flight amenities across its international network, with updated products for Economy, Premium Economy, and Air Canada Signature Class. The refresh begins in August and introduces larger blankets, upgraded bedding, redesigned amenity kits, and new partnerships with Canadian brands Hunter Amenities and Sahajan.

New Air Canada Bedding and Amenity Kits Across All Cabins

Passengers travelling in both Economy and Premium Economy will now receive a new polar fleece blanket measuring six feet in length. Unlike the smaller blankets traditionally offered, the larger size is designed to provide full-body coverage for overnight flights and long-haul journeys.

For travellers flying in Air Canada Signature Class, the airline has refreshed both the duvet and pillow. At a recent media event, I had the opportunity to try out the bedding and can confirm that the new Signature Class duvet offers greater softness, additional warmth, and improved overall comfort during the flight. I also appreciated the updated pillow’s thickness, which will provide better support throughout the flight.

Amenity Kit – Premium Economy Passengers

Premium Economy passengers will also see several improvements to their onboard amenity kit. The updated kit includes a soft eye mask with a contoured nose bridge that helps block more ambient cabin light and improves overall comfort.

Passengers will also receive:

  • Knitted cabin socks for additional comfort during the flight.
  • An antimicrobial bamboo toothbrush.
  • Colgate toothpaste.

The overall amenity kit selection focuses on practical essentials that passengers are likely to use throughout long-haul international journeys.

New Air Canada Signature Class Amenity Kit

Air Canada has also redesigned its Signature Class amenity kit, introducing both new products and new Canadian partnerships. The eye mask has been upgraded to a lightweight, adjustable design that is precision-shaped to completely block light while maximizing comfort during sleep. In my opinion, these are the best airline eye masks in the world. Period.

The airline has also partnered with Canadian skincare company Sahajan to introduce two hydration products into the Signature Class kit:

  • Lip Karma – formulated with castor and argan oils to help combat dry cabin air.
  • The Hand Remedy, a hand cream designed to provide moisture without leaving a greasy residue.

The remainder of the Signature Class kit includes:

  • Premium 3M hypoallergenic earplugs
  • Canadian-inspired striped knitted cabin socks made with 70 percent cotton.
  • An antimicrobial bamboo toothbrush.
  • Colgate toothpaste.
  • Dental floss.

Everything is packaged in a recycled-cotton drawstring bag, manufactured in Canada and designed for reuse well after the flight.

Takeaway

Air Canada’s latest refresh is a welcome and much-awaited upgrade for frequent international travellers, who will likely notice immediately. The introduction of larger blankets in Economy and Premium Economy addresses one of the more common passenger complaints on overnight flights, while Signature Class customers receive upgrades to both bedding and amenity kits.

For passengers travelling internationally with Air Canada over the coming months, these updated bedding and amenity offerings will gradually become the new standard onboard experience across all cabins.
