Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge in the domestic terminal at Montreal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is reopening today, on May 20, 2026, after several months of renovation. To be specific, it is reopening at 4:15am ET.
A Refreshed Montreal Maple Leaf Lounge
The Montreal domestic Maple Leaf Lounge originally closed on September 29, 2025, as part of a planned renovation project. The refreshed lounge features a redesigned layout, updated seating, improved access to power outlets, and a more modern overall aesthetic.

Newly opened YUL Domestic Maple Leaf Lounge
During the closure, eligible passengers were redirected to the nearby Air Canada Café. The Amex Aspire Lounge in the domestic terminal also opened a few weeks prior to the Maple Leaf Lounge closure.
According to Air Canada, the updated lounge was built around comfort and connectivity, including a revamped servery intended to improve traffic flow throughout the space.
Based on the renderings, the renovated lounge adopts a warmer, more modern aesthetic than the previous design, with softer seating, lighter finishes, and large windows overlooking the apron.
The redesigned space also introduces more varied seating arrangements, with a mix of dining tables, lounge chairs, and quieter corners for passengers looking to work or relax before a flight.
To mark the reopening, the Montreal team has also developed a locally inspired menu featuring rotisserie chicken with soft rolls, potatoes, and coleslaw.

Food at the YUL Domestic Maple Leaf Lounge
While Maple Leaf Lounge food offerings are generally fairly standardized across the network, it’s nice to see Air Canada adding a bit of local flavour here.
The Air Canada Café Remains Open
Even with the Maple Leaf Lounge reopening, travellers departing domestic from Montréal can still use the Air Canada Café located just below the lounge.
The Air Canada Café offers a faster grab-and-go concept featuring snacks, specialty coffee, self-serve beverages, nitro cold brew, beer, kombucha, complimentary Wi-Fi, and charging stations.

Together, the two spaces give YUL one of Air Canada’s stronger domestic lounge setups, offering both a full-service lounge and a faster café-style alternative.
