Full Disclosure, I am not being paid for this post or earning $$ on member signups. Simply sharing what I think is a good addition to a travel resource kit. Club1 Hotels is a membership site that offers discounted hotel, airline and cruise (staring November 2017) pricing. In my limited experience, hotel bookings made through Club1 portal may or may not be recognized as an eligible stay for earning points. Some brands are better than others. The portal itself has improved a fair bit since its inception in 2016, although true savings are hard to dig out. I managed to save $55/night in Dubai last January, which was great. One good thing is that the hotel names and prices are not hidden and its easy to compare rates. Make sure you click through the prices to see tax inclusive rates.
Airline Bookings: Friends have had success in booking and earning miles
Hotel Bookings: Depends on the hotel chain. Hyatt honored by booking and recognized by status. IHG did not.
Cruise and Car Rental Bookings: No direct or indirect experience
Again, I am not being paid for this post or making any $$ by sharing the link/benefits. Simply putting it out there for those that may consider trying it out. If you have experience with Club1 Hotels, feel free to share with a comment below. My personal experience has been tepid, to say the least.
What no Restaurant.com gift card also 🙂
Seriously I guess free is free but I have a hard time getting value out of these deals. I guess it’s a good way to test drive.
Yep, worth a test drive. I think they must be re-negotiating their contracts with that vendor, it dropped off a few weeks ago..
