Air Canada, the official airline of Team Canada, has announced the renewal of its partnership with the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees until 2030. This announcement was made ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games during a VIP event where special guests gathered to unveil the Air Canada special aircraft livery.

Air Canada has been the Official Airline of the Canadian Olympic Team since 1988 and the Paralympic Team since 2007. The new agreement extends through the 2030 Winter Games, covering four Olympic and Paralympic events, including Paris 2024. Air Canada will continue transporting Canadian athletes, coaches, support staff, and fans to and from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In Toronto, Air Canada unveiled a Boeing 777 with a special livery dedicated to transporting Team Canada Olympians, Paralympians, their coaches, and support staff to and from the Paris 2024 Games. This aircraft is part of a series of Olympic and Paralympic-themed activations.

Air Canada’s support extends beyond transportation. The airline is offering various services and programs to ensure a smooth travel experience for Team Canada athletes:

  • Complimentary 35K Aeroplan Elite Status: Athletes will receive enhanced status through the Podium Program.
  • Care & Share Packages: Athletes will receive in-flight comfort packages, including Amenity Kit items and memorabilia.
  • Ground Presence: Celebrations at the Canada Olympic House and Canada Paralympic House in Paris will showcase Canadian hospitality and support for the athletes.
  • Airport Celebrations: Departing and returning athletes will be celebrated at the airport.

Air Canada introduced 10 Team Air Canada athlete ambassadors who represent Canadian values and sporting excellence to demonstrate its support further. The ambassadors for Paris 2024 are:

  • Luguentz Dort – Basketball (Montreal, Quebec)
  • Philip Kim – Breaking (Vancouver, B.C.)
  • Pierce LePage – Athletics (Whitby, Ontario)
  • Adriana Leon – Soccer (King City, Ontario)
  • Josh Liendo – Swimming (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Zak Madell – Wheelchair Rugby (Edmonton, Alberta)
  • Summer McIntosh – Swimming (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Cindy Ouellet – Wheelchair Basketball (Quebec City, Quebec)
  • Marissa Papaconstantinou – Para Athletics (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Aurélie Rivard – Para Swimming (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec)

This ambassador initiative will continue for the 2026, 2028, and 2030 Games, with new groups of athletes representing Air Canada.
