Redeeming TD Rewards Points

TD Rewards points are super easy to redeem and akin to free travel money. The best way to use TD Rewards points is on Expedia for TD: you can book anything on Expedia For TD and redeem at a rate of 200 points = $1, equivalent to 0.5 cents per point (CPP). Keep in mind Expedia also offers car rentals, tours, Disney tickets, and other tours, so it’s pretty easy to redeem your TD Rewards for maximum value here.

Otherwise, you can use TD “Book Any Way Travel” to book travel directly with the provider and redeem at a slightly lower rate of 225 points = $1, equivalent to 0.44 cents per point. The lower valuation is made up for by earning elite nights, having Elite benefits, or booking member rates directly with the property. TD is also exceedingly generous with what qualifies as travel, so you can even redeem at 0.44 CPP for things like gas, meals, and theatre tickets.

Finally, you can, of course, redeem for gift cards or statements, but we at PMB recommend the two options above. With Expedia For TD, the 160,000-point welcome bonus is worth $800 and with “Book Any Way Travel”, it’s worth $704.
